Family Support Worker (Newtownbutler)

ARC Healthy Living Centre is recruiting a Family Support Worker to join the Cherish Sure Start team.

Family Support Worker 27hrs  Outreaching from Newtownbutler base.            Ref: FSW 0726

 The role involves providing practical and emotional support to families with children aged 0–4 years through home visits, one-to-one support, group activities and parenting programmes. The postholder will work with families to promote positive parenting, child development, health and wellbeing, while working alongside colleagues and partner organisations.

 Main Duties Include:

  • Provide family support through home visits and individual interventions.
  • Support parents with areas such as child development, play, routines, behaviour, health and wellbeing.
  • Deliver and support family activities and evidence-based parenting programmes.
  • Work with families to identify needs, set goals and monitor progress.
  • Maintain accurate records and follow safeguarding procedures.
  • Work in partnership with other professionals and community services.
