Conference Abstract ARC Neighbourhood Health Model.pdf

ARC Healthy Living Centre is an award‑winning registered charity based in the Sallyswood Estate. Established in 2000, ARC works in partnership with communities, health services and voluntary organisations to address health inequalities and improve wellbeing.

Since opening in 2001, ARC has been rooted in inclusion, community participation and positive expectations. Our work supports people to develop their own resources for creative, healthy living and greater control over their health and wellbeing.

Our approach reflects strong evidence, including the Marmot Review, recognising that health outcomes are shaped largely by social factors such as where we live, work and age.

In recognition of this work, ARC has previously been named Northern Ireland Health & Social Care Social Enterprise of the Year.
