Play Development Worker

We are seeking to recruit a Play development worker as part of our Cherish Sure Start programme Outreach team working from our Lisnaskea or Newtownbutler bases.
The aim of the play development worker is to support and develop an inclusive range of play development opportunities for parents of pre-school children within the Cherish Sure Start catchment area.
Applicants must have a NVQ Level 3 in Early Years Care and Education or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years working with 0-4 year olds in an early years setting. A full clean valid driving licence is required.
Applicants must also demonstrate their competency in the personnel specifcations when applying.
Personnel Specification
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
- Ability to observe the project standard of confidentiality.
- Ability to record and evaluate programmes of work.
- Excellent written and Oral Skills
- Ability to engage families and communities in the Cherish Surestart services.
- Can deal with challenging situations.
Terms & Conditions
The post is for a Fixed term contract up to 31/03/2023, with possible extension subject to funding. It is 25 hours per week and based on an NJC Scale 3 Point 6 £20,043 Pro Rata.
