• Family Support Workers (up to 35hrs) Outreaching from Irvinestown or Newtownbutler bases

 

 

The ARC Healthy Living Centre are expanding their Sure Start services into the Lisnaskea, Portora and Erne wards and are  inviting  applications for a number of  posts. The posts will be temporary until the end of March 2023 – possibility of extension subject to funding.

The family support workers will provide a range of individual and family interventions as well as group work programmes to help families make positive changes in their lives and support their children’s wellbeing and early learning. 

The post holder will carry out home visits; providing general information on SSSA services/programmers; and delivering specific support which has been requested by the families.

Applicants must have :  an NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social care (Children and Young People) or equivalent or higher educational standard; A minimum of 2 years working in a formal care setting, one of which must include working with children; Basic IT skills and have a full clean drivers licence and access to a car.

Additionally applicants will be required to reflect the following competencies in their application: 

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Skills and knowledge of Parenting and principles of Sure Start.
  • Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to work off own intiative.
