We are seeking to recruit an Early Years Leader as part of our Cherish Sure Start Programme in Irvinestown.

Hours: 28 hours per week 46 weeks.

Post Location: Irvinestown

Salary/hourly rate: NJC Scale 4/ Point 7 £22,369 pro rata.

Pension                    6%

Brief job description

the Early Years Leader will ensure children attending Sure Start services and Crèche have the best start in life by providing a safe, welcoming, high quality, inclusive early education environment, working to improve the ability to learn, improve health and social development of children, ante-natal to four years of age.

The post holder will support and when required lead in a variety of service delivery within the Sure Start project.

Essential Criteria/as per Personnel spec:

  • QCF Level 5 in Child Care or equivalent or working towards the completion of it.
  • A minimum of 2 years paid or voluntary working with 0-4 years old in an early Year’s setting.
  • At least 1 year’s supervising staff/volunteers and students.
  • Experience of working in partnership with parents.
