Job Title: Access Contact Deputy Coordinator
Location: ARC Healthy Living Centre
Accountable to: Contact Centre Project Coordinator
Hours of Employment: Up to 8 hours per week
Duration: Permanent contract, subject to funding.
Remuneration: NJC 2022/23 Scale Point 5 £21,575 pro rata
Job purpose: To assist ARC Healthy Living Centre Ltd to facilitate consistent Contact Services with the aim of achieving high quality contact between children and their families. The amount of work required may vary and is agreed by a process of negotiation and mutual agreement between the Centre coordinator and deputy coordinator.
Responsibilities:
- To work alongside access contract sessions, providing support and guidance to children and parents/dependents as appropriate, before and during contact.
- To ensure that the centre is welcoming to users of differing race, gender, sexuality, creed, and abilities.
- To provide programmes of supervised contact and other programmes of contact as directed by the Contact Centre Co-Ordinator.
- Take appropriate action to protect children’s safety and promote their welfare, intervening where this is the threatened and terminating the contact if deemed necessary.
- To remain impartial and non-interventional unless the welfare of a child is threatened
- Prepare and maintain case records and details of conduct, in order to formulate how and if contact should progress. Perform associated administrative tasks and maintain strict confidentiality.
- Write or otherwise contribute to reports for the courts or other agencies
- Take part in client feedback processes, record-keeping, monitoring and other aids to the evaluation of services.
- Attend planning meetings, reviews, supervision and other related meetings as required
- Liaise and represent the ARC Healthy Living Centre with other professionals and agencies.

- Undertake training as necessary including mandatory Health and Safety and induction programme.
- Attend regular staff meetings or team meetings as required
- Contribute in your field of expertise to take membership forward
- Adhere to all the policies and procedures in accordance with organizational and NACCC guidelines
- To maintain confidential and accurate records of contracts, and other direct work with parents.
- To attend supervision meetings with the Contact Co-Ordinator
- In co-operation with the Contract Co-Ordinator, to be responsible for providing suitable and safe accommodation at the Contact Centre premises for the contact sessions
To ensure that the premises and equipment comply with the NACCC Health and Safety checklists and organizational standards (see below)
Health and Safety
In conjunction with the organisational policy and procedures, assume responsibility for the maintenance, upkeep and Health & Safety of your working environment.
Implement and adhere to Government legislation pertaining to Health and Safety.
