Cleaner Required ARC Healthy Living Centre Irvinestown Bases Ref: C25-11
Main Job Purpose:
The ARC Healthy Living Centre require a person to be responsible for the cleaning and the promotion of a health and safety compliant environment.
Key Responsibilities:Hours / Salary: 13 hrs per week, temporary contract, subject to review, Monday – Friday with immediate start – National Living Wage
Reporting to: Line Manager
Main duties
- Responsible for all cleaning in and around ARC Healthy Living Centre facilities and offices, carrying out general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, hoovering, cleaning glass interiors & inside windows where required.
- Emptying rubbish and recycling bins
- Cleaning spills or accidents and thoroughly disinfecting an area afterwards
- Cleaning toilet facilities
- Safely diluting industrial cleaning chemicals and using them at the appropriate levels
- Keep cleaning supplies stocked and raising PO’s when necessary
- Maintaining cleaning equipment in full working order and carrying out repairs when necessary, and notify the relevant person
- Use all materials and consumables in accordance with COSHH
- Comply with methods of clening required for areas
- Use the appropriate work equipment and PPE provided
- Report safety deficiencies and accidents through line manager
- Completing a set number of daily tasks as specified by any Supervisors

- To undertake any other relevant duties within the overall scope of the post which may be required by the The ARC Healthy Living Centre

Job Specification
Essential Criteria
- Cleaners should have a strong work ethic and pay close attention to detail
- Maintain high standards of work
- They should demonstrate an understanding of how to handle cleaning products safely, including chemicals.
- Being a team player and working well with others are desirable but should also be able to manage their own time effectively and work independently.
- Willingness to undertake Health & Safety training
- Willingness to undertake vulnerable adults safeguarding training
- Willingness to undergo an Access NI check
Desirable Criteria
- Experience working with in public sector buildings and offices
- Experience in completing risk assessments, managing risk and implementing measures to mitigate foreseeable risk
