ARC Summer Scheme Leader in Charge
We are seeking to appoint a Leader in Charge & a team of Seasonal Youth Workers
Up to 35 hours per week (7 weeks)
Job Title: ARC Summer Scheme Leader in Charge
Qualifications BA in Education or related field and a minimum of one year’s experience working in a leadership capacity with children in group care, e.g. Teacher or Program Coordinator.
Or Candidates with unrelated BA must have two years’ experience working with children in a leadership capacity in an educational, summer camp or after-school setting.
Education and experience requirements must meet the current applicable regulations for early year’s settings
Knowledge of Child Protection regulations; First aid/CPR: Preference given to candidates with paediatric first aid training.
Driver’s License: Full licence and access to a vehicle.
Infection control training Understand the risk of exposure to Covid and blood and bodily fluids and use universal precautions in such instances.
To work as part of a team of staff and volunteers, assisting with the design and delivery of a structured, varied summer programme of youth activities for children and young people aged between 5-16 years living in the local area.

The successful candidates must have at least 1 years experience (paid or voluntary) of working with children and young people in a similar role, must be available for work between the 28th June – 13th August inclusive, have knowledge of Child Protection Legislation, and a commitment to equality of opportunity for all.

Early Years Leader 35hrs/ 50 weeks Ref: EYL 04/21
The aim of the Early Years Leader will be to inspire development in all children through play based learning opportunities within the Sure Start Developmental Programme for 2-3 Year Olds and Crèche. The Leader will support and encourage a team of early year’s workers to play an active role in planning, observing and learning development, through a variety of exciting, creative and exploratory ways. Applicants must have a QCF Level 5 in Child Care or equivalent and a minimum of 3 years’ experience working with 0-4 year olds in an Early Year’s Setting.
