Safefood – Community Food Initiative
The Safefood Community Food Initiative supports people and communities to develop the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to make healthier food choices. Delivered locally through ARC Healthy Living Centre, the project focuses on practical, hands‑on learning around food, nutrition and wellbeing.
The programme is delivered by ARC’s registered Dietitian, Claire Holmes, and includes group sessions and community activities exploring affordable healthy cooking, food safety, label reading and ways to build positive, sustainable eating habits. Sessions are inclusive, supportive and shaped by the needs of the local community.
By strengthening food skills and food confidence, the Safefood Community Food Initiative helps reduce health inequalities and supports individuals and families to make lasting, positive changes.
