Fermanagh Omagh Well-being Network

This is a funded programme, through PEACEPLUS, and it aligns very much with our core values.  The project name is Fermanagh Omagh Well-being Network, (FOWN). Our partners are Oak Healthy Living Centre, Lisnaskea, Lakeland Community Care (Enniskillen), Fermanagh Rural Community Network (Enniskillen) and Omagh Healthy Living Network   (Omagh).

The five partners represent 7 District Electoral Areas that suffer from significant disadvantage.

The plan for our project is to establish ways in which we can provide additional support to individuals within these communities to improve not only their well-being in a health context, but also their level of connectedness and integration within their immediate environment.

To this end, we will support them with provision of a range of measures with an overarching structure of health and wellbeing interventions. This will be additionally supported by the use of technology designed to improve their level of connectedness, with their small defined postcode area. The app is called Neighbour and will allow for a level of group support designed to increase neighbourhood cohesion.
