Global Engineering Giant partners up with the ARC to help tackle social exclusion

ARC Healthy Living Centre received £10,000 from the VINCI UK Foundation to help upgrade catering facilities and electricity network at its community centre in County Fermanagh. 

The Foundation is supported by Belfast-headquartered Omexom UK & ROI, part of the VINCI Energies group; the Omexom sponsors will volunteer their time to help with practical work needed to complete the project, as well as procurement and marketing.  

ARC Healthy Living Centre requested support from the VINCI UK Foundation to fund upgrades their catering facilities, including purchasing a new cooker. Funds will also be used to help upgrade the centre’s grid connections, enabling the installation of new catering equipment that will help it to address health inequalities and boost community integration in its area. Ryan Monaghan and Claire Doran will act as the charity’s Omexom project sponsors, using expertise in electrical engineering and procurement and marketing respectively to support the project.

The VINCI UK Foundation, funded by VINCI businesses across the UK, supports groups and charities which work to tackle exclusion, foster community integration and improve access to employment and housing. Launched in early 2016, the foundation is unique in its support for good causes due to its specific focus and provision of skilled volunteers.

Through the Foundation, all VINCI’s employees, from apprentices to senior management, can use their experience and skills to benefit their local communities.
